Yesterday was the first Sunday of the month, which means we took Communion at our tiny New England church. 

And as I walked up to the altar to receive it, I glanced out the window at the snow falling silently outside. 

I stepped up to our pastor and heard those precious words, “Rachel, this is the blood of Christ shed for you.”

“Come now, let us reason together,” says the Lord.  “Though your sins are like scarlet, they shall be as white as snow …”  ( Isaiah 1:18 )
