John 14:5-14

Fully man.

Fully God.

Even the disciples didn’t get it after three years spending most of their waking hours with Him.

You can almost sense Jesus’ distress that many of them still don’t realize who He is (John 14:9).

He was no prophet.  Nor was He some ethereal being.

God became man.  The Word became flesh (John 1:14).  Jesus manifested the Father.

We know who God is because we have seen Jesus.

He is the object of our praise and adoration.

He is the One we have waited for.

No one has ever seen God, but God the One and Only, who is at the Father’s side, has made him known.  ( John 1:18 )

In the past God spoke to our forefathers through the prophets at many times and in various ways, but in these last days he has spoken to us by his Son, whom he appointed heir of all things, and through whom he made the universe.  The Son is the radiance of God’s glory and the exact representation of his being, sustaining all things by his powerful word.  (Hebrews 1:1-3)
