John 18:28-38

“What is truth?” Pilate asked.  (John 18:38)

“I am the way, the truth, and the life.” (John 14:6)

Pilate knew Jesus was innocent of the charges the Jewish leadership made.  But he did not understand who Jesus was.  And he thought truth was an “it”, not a “who”.

Jesus is Truth.  He didn’t just come to testify to truth.  It is who He is.

And as a result, He is the center of everything.

By its very nature, truth reorients our lives.  If something is true, then we must alter our ways to reflect it.  We must change our thinking, in order to align it with what is true.

We would assume that anyone who ignores truth and lives his life based on falsehood is living in denial.  Perhaps we would even say he is living a lie.

Jesus said He is Truth.

Are our lives ordered around Him?

Or are we living in denial?

For in him we live and move and exist.  (Acts 17:28, NLT)
